Professor Iain Bruce is the Professor of Paediatric ENT practice at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. In addition to his NHS paediatric practice, he is an active researcher and educator.

Research
Prof Bruce is an active researcher with his research interests closely aligned with his clinical sub-specialisations, including: hearing loss, cochlear implants, bone conduction implants, cleft palate (hearing and airway), childhood airway obstruction and Mucopolysaccharidosis.

Education
Within his NHS practice Prof Bruce has a passion for education of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Additionally he supervises several postgraduate degree students in the fields of Otology and Audiology, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Immersive Technology.

Prof Bruce is a leading surgeon who has held several prestigious council elected positions including; ESPO committee member, BCIG council member, NIHR RfPB regional advisory committee member and BAPO council member.
